RED BUD - July 2025 The Port has completed the feasibility study for a jet fuel pipeline from the Fayetteville terminal to Mid AmericaSt. Louis airport and Scott Air Force Base. The study documents that the pipeline is feasible and there are no major impediments. The next step would be to conduct a Phase 1 study.
RED BUD - March 2025 The Governor of Illinois appointed five new board members to the Port. They are Christina Herrmann, Amanda Chase, Donna Richter, Karen Stallman, and Chris Kattenbracker. Three incumbent board members were reappointed - Joe Luechtefeld, Mark Chatham, and Ron Kaempfe.
KRPD #2 - March 2025 The Port has completed its portion of the new conveyor. This project was funded by the Illinois Ports Program through IDOT. The conveyor will add to the infrastructure of the Port and support the expansion of Gateway FS dry fertilizer distribution center by 40%. (see photo)
RED BUD - November 2024 Three new board members have been appointed by the Governor to serve on the Kaskaskia Regional Port District Board. They are Joe Stukenberg, Lisa Hess, and Kris Fulford. All three will need to be Senate confirmed.
EVANSVILLE - September 2024 Port completes the replacement of a two-block section of Broad Street in Evansville. This project was to assist the Village due to the volume of truck traffic going to the grain terminal.
According to the Waterborne Commerce Statistics Center (WCSC) of the Army Corps of Engineers the Kaskaskia Regional Port District is 68th largest in the country, the 11th largest Inland Port, and the 5th largest port in the State of Illinois based on tonnage.
